AUGUSTA-FORT GORDON CHAPTER CHAPTER - Dec 15, 2009 |
In December, the chapter hosted its second annual Fort Gordon Christmas House golf tournament along with local chapters of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) and the Signal Corps Regimental Association (SCRA). The event was held in conjunction with the Signal Leadership Conference. Proceeds from the event totaled $4,000 and benefited the Christmas House, which provides toys and meals to needy enlisted families for the holidays. Col. Joe Yavorsky, USA (Ret.), AFCEA chapter president; Sgt. Maj. Steve Caffee, USA (Ret.), AFCEA chapter member; Adolphus Greely, SCRA chapter president; and Sarah Crow, Augusta Chapter, AUSA, presented the funds to Jim Greene, director of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation for Fort Gordon, and Col. Glenn Kennedy II, USA, garrison commander. |
