The chapter welcomed Brig. Gen. LaWarren Patterson, USA, deputy commander, U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command/9th Signal Command, as guest speaker at the September meeting. He discussed the command's mission along with its global commitments and the current situation of fragmented networks. He explained the Global Network Enterprise Construct (GNEC), its benefits and how a network enterprise will be achieved. The general concluded his remarks by addressing the command's support to the new U.S. Cyber Command.
