ORLANDO-CENTRAL FLORIDA CHAPTER CHAPTER - Jan 22, 2010 |
TechNet Orlando Addresses C4ISR |
In January, the chapter co-sponsored TechNet Orlando with the Sunshine Chapter of the Association of the U.S. Army for the ninth year. The symposium focused on command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) and training support to the warfighter. In addition, the event concentrated on how to overcome the challenges related to C4ISR, including cyberwar and the merger of training and testing in the Global War on Terrorism. Rob Reyanga, senior executive service, deputy program executive officer of simulation, training and instrumentation (DPEO STRI), welcomed senior officials in his opening remarks and provided insight into what PEO STRI is doing to meet joint warfighting requirements. Lt. Gen. John Dubia, USA (Ret.), executive vice president, AFCEA International, expressed his appreciation to the chapters for pulling together such a successful event and cited this conference as a model for other associations to emulate. |
