Student Receives STEM Scholarship

Approximately 60 current and new members of the chapter convened in May for a general membership meeting. Lt. Col. William J. Deagan, USA, newly elected chapter president; Lt. Col. Jason K. Sutton, USAF, chapter vice president; and other officers were introduced by Gordon Bolton, chapter secretary. The highlight of the luncheon was the presentation of a $1,000 scholarship from the seventh annual AFCEA International Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Program to Jennifer Cooper of Lester Middle School. Representatives from CISCO Systems and Symantec Corporation also presented technical demonstrations during the luncheon.
