Scholarship Awards Benefit Teachers

In June, the chapter awarded $37,500 in scholarships and $2,600 in Teaching Tool Awards at the luncheon. Students pursuing engineering, mathematics or science degrees received scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $3,000. Kevin Burr, a student at the State University of New York Institute of Technology, received the Syracuse Research Corporation sponsored scholarship award of $2,500 in recognition of his academic achievements. Three area high school teachers received the Teaching Tool Award.
