Commander Discusses Naval Forces

The chapter selected Rear Adm. Pete A. Gumataotao, USN, commander, U.S. Naval Forces Korea, as the special guest speaker for the July luncheon. More than 110 members and guests attended to hear from the first Chamorro Navy flag officer. The luncheon coincided with the July independence and liberation festivities. After an introduction by Lt. Gen. John A. Dubia, USA (Ret.), executive vice president of AFCEA International, Adm. Gumataotao shared his views on how C4I enhances the capability of the warfighter and the success of missions. He also discussed how education helped him with his career and life objectives and provided guidance on effective leadership during his 45-minute speech.
