In September, David Robbins, information assurance manager, Marine Corps Installations West, provided a follow-up to his April presentation on information assurance (IA). He focused on command support (table of organization and contractor support); funding for training, equipment and salaries; and IA policies, doctrine and procedures. He also spoke about the five phases of the Defense Department Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP), along with the process for accessing department information technology systems and networks. Chapter members also participated in the Camp Pendleton Fall Career and Education Expo by distributing information concerning AFCEA International Educational Foundation scholarships. |
