Meeting Tackles Interoperability |
Col. Joe Puett, USA, commander of the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) at Fort Huachuca, presented at the chapter's September meeting. He provided an overview of the JITC's mission, vision, capabilities and impact on the Joint Interoperability Certifier. He pointed out that the JITC is helping to streamline testing to ensure timely fielding of the strategic command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance platform. In addition, the JITC is working to speed up the fielding of needed capabilities in support of the warfighter. The command's vision is providing an integrated, Defense Department-wide mission-focused interoperability test and evaluation capability. Col. Puett reiterated that the battleground should never be the testing ground. |
