Panel Discusses Open Government

In December, the chapter hosted an informative discussion on “Using Social Media Tools and Open Government to Transform Citizen Engagement.” Bev Godwin, director of new media and citizen engagement, U.S. General Services Administration, moderated the discussion. Panelist included Cammie Croft, director of new media and citizen engagement, Department of Energy; Amanda Eamich, director of web communications, Department of Agriculture; Charles J. Holt, senior strategist for emerging media, Defense Department; and Sanjay Koyani, director of web communications, Food and Drug Administration. Nearly 200 people attended the innovative and informative discussion at the Bethesda North Marriot and Conference Center. The meeting provided a great networking experience.
