Colonel Reviews Pacific Goals

In November, Col. Kent Simon, USMC, commander of the Defense Information Systems Agency-Pacific (DISA-Pac), provided an overview of DISA and its projects in the Pacific. Col. Simon has served with the U.S. Marine Corps for 22 years, including tours in the United States, Haiti, the Philippines, Iraq, the Third Marine Expeditionary Force and aboard the USS Essex. He leads 484 military and civilian personnel from Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Japan, Okinawa and Korea. His team is responsible for communications and information technology support over an area that encompasses nearly 100 million square miles and extends across 17 time zones.
