Colonel Discusses Network Operations

In May, the chapter hosted Lt. Col. Daniel Steele, USAF, commander of the 45th U.S. Air Force Space Communications Squadron located at Patrick Air Force Base (AFB). In addition, he is vice president of the Cape Canaveral Chapter of AFCEA. He provided an insightful presentation on Air Force network operations and how his squadron is organized to support these operations at Patrick AFB. He also discussed the ongoing centralization of Air Force operations and the impact that is having on his squadron. He spoke about how the command is organized to function and assist in the cyber operations world. Following his speech, Col. Steele answered questions from attendees.
