Lifetime Member Honored

Capt. Christopher Allen of the Rhode Island National Guard, 281st Combat Communications Group (CCG), received his AFCEA Lifetime Membership certificate at the 2011 Rhode Island National Guard Open House and Air Show in June. The 281st CCG received the 2010 Air Force Outstanding Unit Award. The 281st CCG planned and managed communications for all manmade and natural disasters for events such as the Red River flood, the G20 Summit, Deepwater Horizons and Hurricane Earl. In addition, it provided command and control for eight separate locations during operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.
