Retired General Recalls Career

At the chapter's November membership luncheon at Southern Trace Country Club in Shreveport, Louisiana, attendees heard from a Shreveport native: Gen. Charles C. Campbell, USA (Ret.). The general's military career spans across the world and four decades and ended with him as the last serving general officer in Vietnam War combat time. Following the luncheon, the chapter hosted its Fall 2011 Friends of AFCEA "Swinging for Scholarships" Invitational Golf Tournament, also at Southern Trace. The field of almost 40 golfers enjoyed a day of camaraderie on the course and raised proceeds for the chapter's Spring Scholarship Banquet.
