SAN DIEGO CHAPTER CHAPTER - Dec 21, 2011

Online Only

At the chapter's December luncheon, Shirley Adams, vice president for programs, read a poem she wrote to reflect on the hard work all AFCEA volunteers put in every day throughout the year. The poem stated: Twas the night before ExCom, when all through the office, not a computer was running not even the mouse. The flags were all hung on the tall poles with care in hopes that new awards would soon be there. The ExCom stood ready to provide their support, while visions of accomplishments and good deeds were documented in reports. Benito in his white shirt and colorful tie, and I in my suit and charismatic eyes were being put to the test, racking our brains and preparing for WEST. When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, we sprang from chairs to see what was the matter. Away to the window, we flew like a flash. Tore open the blinds and tripped over the trash.
