Panel Tackles Information Technology Efficiency |
In January, the chapter hosted a discussion titled “Doing More With Less – IT Efficiencies through Acquisition, Sourcing and Portfolio Innovations.” Simon Szykman, chief information officer, U.S. Department of Commerce, moderated the discussion. Panelist were Floyd Groce, director, enterprise commercial information technology strategy, Department of the Navy; Anne Rung, senior director of administration, Department of Commerce; and Tony Trenkle, chief information officer and director of the Office of Information Services in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Department of Health and Human Services. The discussion gave insight into how agencies measure the effectiveness of their information technology portfolio. Attendance at the Bethesda North Marriot and Conference Center exceeded 270. As always, participants arrived in time to network before the panel. |
