ARKLATEX CHAPTER CHAPTER - Jan 17, 2012 |
Entertainment Studio Discusses Global Success |
In January, more than 100 guests attended the chapter's first luncheon of 2012 to hear guest speakers from Shreveport-based Moonbot Studios. Brandon Oldenburg and Lampton Enochs discussed how the Louisiana Digital Media and Software Incentive program helped launch the local startup to global success in under two years. The duo demonstrated several of the company's critically-acclaimed products, including its flagship app: The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore, which reached the number one spot in the iTunes App Store and is one of 10 animated short film finalists for the 2012 Oscars. Oldenburg shed light on the applicability of their business of broadening the entertainment industry to the military by stating, "Technologies will change rapidly, but the story remains the story." |
