ROC CHAPTER CHAPTER - Dec 20, 2011

In December, the chapter held a symposium on National Communications & Electronics Security Symposium (NCESS 2011) at Howard International House in Taiwan. Attendees included government officials, military officers, industrial communities and academic elites. The president of the chapter, Vice Adm. Weihsien Wang, TN (Ret.), proclaimed that the chapter will play a role as a platform to exchange information between industry, government and academic circles. Dr. Liu Chao-shiuan, the former premier of the Republic of China (ROC), represented President Ma Ying-jeou to deliver a keynote address at NCESS 2011. Moreover, Kent Schneider, president and chief executive officer of AFCEA International, presented his greetings through electronic media. The symposium included four speaker sessions with 15 well-known speakers, and their lectures have received enthusiastic responses from participants. Many of the media reports commented favorably on the event.
