Panel Previews Future Federal Budget |
In February, the chapter hosted an imperative discussion titled “FY13 Federal Budget Preview.” Lisa Schlosser, deputy administrator, Office of E-Government and Information Technology, Office of Management and Budget, moderated the discussion. Panelist were Roger Baker, assistant secretary of information technology and chief information officer for Virginia; Robert Carey, deputy assistant secretary of defense for information management, integration and technology and deputy chief information officer, Defense Department; Chris Smith, chief information officer, Department of Agriculture; and Richard Spires, chief information officer, Department of Homeland Security. The discussion gave significant insight into the 2013 federal budget. Attendance at the Bethesda North Marriot and Conference Center was more than 550.
