Physics Professor Leads Conference

The chapter sponsored a conference in May with 18 attendees at the Argentine Army University in Buenos Aires. Horacio Rinaldi, a professor at the Buenos Aires Institute of Technology, served as the lecturer. He discussed the possible options for changing the current situation with a lack of scientific literacy in our society. He stressed that the central idea is to get through to students with appropriate and adventurous teaching methods using topics of interest to physics.
