Awards Presented at VIP Dinner |
In May, attendees gathered for a VIP dinner organized by AFCEA Europe in honor of the TechNet Europe and ITTE 2012 conferences. During the dinner, Kent Schneider, president and chief executive officer of AFCEA International, presented an engraved plaque on behalf of the AFCEA Educational Foundation's Board of Directors to Petr Jirasek, a member of AFCEA's Executive Committee, for his contribution and service to the Czech Chapter. Schneider also presented Rear Adm. Carlos R. Rodolfo, PON (Ret.), Portugal Chapter President, with a Model Chapter Award for 2012. Attendees included Gen. Vlastimil Picek, CZA, chief of the General Staff of the Czech Armed Forces; Lt. Gen. Petr Pavel, CZA, future chief of the General Staff of the Czech Armed Forces; Maj. Gen. Klaus-Peter Treche, GEA (Ret.), general manager of AFCEA Europe; and 35 additional attendees representing 14 European chapters. |
