Activities Educate Cadets on Robotics

In May, Julio Sagarese and Marcela Ugozzoli, teachers at the Military Lyceum "Araoz de Lamadrid" in Tucuman, presented a report on an Education Robotics initiative made possible by a Science Teaching Tools grant. The objectives for the first stage of the program were: identify the physical parts of the robot; install communication drivers on the computer; know the operation of electric motors used in robots; and identify the basic commands used to control the motors. Aside from that, the activities included a description of the technology used, mounting the front infrared sensors, installing the drivers of the controller board, running Minibloq, top stage programming, designing small programs and identification of the programming variables corresponding to the environment.
