Awards Recognize Outstanding Marines

The Communications Training Center (CTC) 1 located at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, conducted a graduation ceremony for the Radio Supervisor Course (RSC) and Telecommunications Supervisor Course (TSC) in April. The mission of the CTC supervisor courses is to provide non-commissioned officers within the Marine Corps radio and wire military occupational specialties (MOS) the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful supervisors within their respective MOS. Mark Witzel, chapter president, was on hand to observe the ceremony and to make presentations to the course's top three graduates. The RSC Honor Graduate was Cpl. Coty Thompson, USMC, 1st Marine Regiment. The second place graduate was Sgt. Miguel Machado, USMC, Air and Naval Gunfire Liaison Company. Sgt. Jamie Kubik, USMC, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, was the third place graduate. The TSC Honor Graduate was Cpl. Huber Basurto, USMC, 1st Battalion 1st Marine Regiment; second place TSC graduate was Sgt. Christopher Davis, USMC, 9th Communications Battalion; and the third place graduate was Sgt. Michael Webster, USMC, Combat Logistics Regiment 17. All six Marines received one-year AFCEA memberships; additionally the two Honor graduates received plagues from the chapter.
