Chapter Awards $35,000 in Scholarships

In June, the chapter awarded $35,000 in scholarships at its Scholarship Awards Luncheon. Students pursuing engineering, mathematics or science degrees received scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $3,000. Industry partner, Syracuse Research Corporation (SRC), donated $3,500 to the scholarship program. James Bohl, a student at the State University of New York Institute of Technology, received the SRC-sponsored scholarship award of $3,000 in recognition of his academic achievements. Jacob Hartman, a senior at Elmira Christian Academy, received the SRC-sponsored minority scholarship award of $2,000 in recognition of his academic achievements. Hartman plans to attend State University of New York Institute of Technology in the fall.
