NORTHERN CALIFORNIA CHAPTER CHAPTER - Apr 30, 2013 |
Event Highlights ISR-Communications Synergy |
In April, the chapter celebrated its 4th meeting since its reestablishment a year ago. The event was held at the Beale Air Force Base Recce Point Club, where Lt. Col. Sue Magaletta, USAF, chapter vice president, welcomed attendees from several local military organizations, including representatives from Beale and Travis Air Force bases, as well as several industry partners. The meeting included a luncheon and an informal Networking on the Green golf event. Col. Patrick Flood, USAF, the 548th Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group commander, served as keynote speaker. In his speech, Col. Flood recalled the Air Force's origins in the U.S. Army Signal Corps and how that heritage continues to fuel military communications-intelligence synergy as an essential element of modern military combat operations. |
