In August, the chapter's Young AFCEANs hosted a day of boating, barbecue and fun in the sun at Canyon Lake, Texas. Fifteen chapter members from industry, the U.S. Army and Air Force attended, many along with their families. The chapter chartered a party barge, piloted by Captain Bob of Canyon Cruiser, to promote the bond-building experience for attendees. The chapter provides an event once a year to bring members and their families together for building lasting memories and relationships, event organizer Emily Rausch explained. “While we all see each other in our professional lives, this is a way that we can provide a forum of camaraderie and enjoyment for our members and their families. Building lasting relationships and partnerships doesn't end at the close of business. We need to recognize that there is a person and a family that supports them in achieving professional goals.” |
