ARGENTINA CHAPTER CHAPTER - Sep 11, 2013

Conference Covers Radar Technology

In September, the chapter sponsored the conference Argentine Radar, which took place at Argentina Army University in Buenos Aires, Argentina. There were 40 attendees. The speakers were Col. Oscar Gonzalez, FAA (Ret.), chapter board member; Ricardo Hum, INVAP company director; and Maj. Gen. Guillermo Saravia, FAA, radar sensors director. The conference included discussion of issues related to Argentina's radar installation plans, an INVAP institutional presentation, and a description and current status of the National Aerospace Surveillance and Control (SINVICA).

In addition, Rear Adm. Emilio Nigoul, ARA (Ret.), chapter president, delivered Col. Elejandro Echazu, EA, former Army University director, a certificate of recognition for their continued collaboration with the chapter.
