ORLANDO-CENTRAL FLORIDA CHAPTER CHAPTER - Nov 01, 2006

Test and Evaluation

The Orlando-Central Florida Chapter had a joint November meeting with the local International, Test & Evaluation Association (ITEA) and welcomed Col. David Lockhart, USA, project manager with Project Manager Instrumentation, Targets and Threat Simulators (PM ITTS). Col. Lockhart delivered a presentation on the mission and vision of the PM ITTS program and discussed the updates on recent test and evaluations (T & E) activities. The briefing outlined the challenges and initiatives PM ITTS faces in achieving its goals. The colonel noted that through such processes as partnering, test and training convergence, and acquisition rigor PM ITTS hopes to work toward making the acquisition process more responsive and forward looking.

At the luncheon, Fred Eisele, AFCEA International Associate Director, conducted the Installations of officers. Jerry Stahl and Wells Barlow were sworn in by Eisele. Stahl and Barlow were re-elected to their positions as president and secretary respectively, while Li McCombs was elected to treasurer and Dr. Roger Smith was re-elected as first vice president.
