The chapter, in coordination with FBC Incorporated, sponsored the 7th Annual IT Expo at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska. The event brought vendors together to provide information on their products to the military sector in Anchorage. CISCO and McAfee provided presentations on current information technology issues, awarding continuing education units for those in attendance. The night prior, FBC hosted an evening social event for vendors and AFCEA Alaska members at the Glacier Brewhouse, a popular restaurant. Alaska Communications and Verizon started the upcoming 2015 STEM fundraising cycle by presenting sponsorship checks to Lt. Col. David Elder, USA, chapter president. The 2015 STEM event will be held in April of next year. |
