Kristy Hatch, science specialist at Wynton Blount Elementary School, and Mona Green, principal at Wynton Blount Elementary School, accepted a $1,522 Science Teaching Tools Grant on behalf of the school to fund the purchase of iPad minis/cases and wireless temperature probes for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM)-enhanced learning during science classes. Bobby Abrams, principal at Jefferson Davis High School; Anissha Officer, principal at W.S. Garrett Elementary School; and Charlesetta Robinson, principal at Fews Secondary Acceleration Academy, accepted a Chapter Initiative Grant of $14,616 to fund the purchase of new computers and software for their respective schools.
