Symposium Addresses Disruptive Innovations

About 400 individuals from industry, military, government and academia in September participated in the Koblenz Information Technology Symposium—an all-day event co-hosted by the chapter and the Federal Office of Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support. Armament State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence Dr. Katrin Suder and Hans-Georg Engelke, state secretary of the ministry of the interior, highlighted complex challenges in cybersecurity. The annual symposium is a neutral government-industry exchange on command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) topics. This year's focus was information technology organization and the disruptive power of technological innovations.
