Luncheon Features NATO Leaders |
More than 20 attendees participated in the chapter's November luncheon at the NATO Staff Centre in Brussels. Guest speakers included Maj. Gen. Ludwig Leinhos, director, NATO Headquarters Consultation, Command and Control (C-3) Staff and C-3 capability area manager and Dr. Velizar Shalamanov, director, Demand Management, NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA). Gen. Leinhos gave a briefing on the evolution of NATO C-3 policy based on a new alliance C-3 strategy and a NATO enterprise approach. He discussed how the alliance has evolved over the past three years. He stressed the importance of the Federated Mission Networking as a main strand to promoting interoperability. Dr. Shalamanov complemented the NATO overview with a discussion on NATO's first solution for increased interoperability at an affordable cost, specifying NCIA's role of partnership with industry as a way to move forward. |
