EIFEL CHAPTER CHAPTER - Dec 11, 2015

Eifel Chapter Awards STEM Scholarship

The chapter is pleased to announce the Fall 2015 winner of the Senior Master Sgt. Marcus Hall STEM Scholarship is Senior Airman Ricardo Hernandez, USAF. Applicants were required to write an essay on the topic of "How can technology increase the quality of life?" and pursuing a degree in information technology (IT) systems or computer science. The chapter is privileged to have the support of Senior Master Sgt. Marcus Hall, USAF (Ret.), who hopes to foster passion about the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields and allow for greater pursuit of academic accomplishment in the field. Hall enlisted in the Air Force in 1992 as a security policeman, but cross-trained into Network Operations and then to Cyber Transport until his retirement. He now works as an IT manager for Amazon, and is taking advantage of his opportunities now to give back to the community that fostered his passion. Hall began in Air Force IT at Bitburg Air Base, just down the road from Spangdahlem Air Base, so the chapter is glad to benefit from his support and guidance as he looks to set up airmen for future success.
