WASHINGTON DC CHAPTER CHAPTER - Feb 16, 2016 |
The Future of the Air Force ISR Enterprise |
A panel of senior Air Force officials discussed where the Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Enterprise is heading. Rapid advances in technology, operational requirements and sensing systems have made elasticity and agility key imperatives for the Air Force's ISR Enterprise. The panel discussed how Air Force ISR was incorporating open architecture and open mission systems to develop rapidly adaptable analytic and collection systems, and the increased focus on partnering with industry to enable agile acquisition. Discussion also focused on the Air Force's future analytical enterprise as well as the incorporation of data science and multi-domain battle space sensing to facilitate global operations at decision speed. Panelists included Dr. Camron Gorguinpour, director of transformational innovation, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Acquisitions (SAF/AQ), USAF; Jon “Doc” Kimminau, Air Force analysis mission technical advisor for the deputy chief of staff, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, USAF; Lt. Gen. Robert Otto, deputy chief of staff, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, USAF; and Brig. Gen. John Rauch, director of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Capabilities, USAF. |
