Colonel Discusses Army Data Strategy at February Luncheon

Col. Linda Jantzen, acting director, Army Architecture Integration Center discussed the Army Data Strategy at the chapter's luncheon in February. According to the CIO/G6, the strategy is a collection of set goals and objectives, and includes implementation guidance for the Army Data Management Program. The strategy also defines the roles and responsibilities of the CIO/G-6, chief data officer, Army Data Board, Stewards Council and functional data managers. It includes five goals for success to ensure data is visible, accessible, understandable, trusted and interoperable (VAUTI). The Army Data Management Program (ADMP) will serve as the foundation for implementation of the Army Data Strategy. To achieve the VAUTI goals, the ADMP will provide critical details and standards for components such as data quality, master data, data analytics and data management specifications. The CIO/G-6 also will develop the Common Operating Environment Data Foundation (COE DF). The Army Data Strategy is available for review on the Army CIO/G-6 public webpage.
