Young AFCEANs Eager to Network

The chapter's Young AFCEANs (YACs) kicked off their events for February by giving members the opportunity to participate in a live event at the Cisco office in Eschborn, Germany. The chapter teamed up with the Eifel Chapter to provide 25 YACs of both chapters a tour of the Cisco office. They were able to preview some of the latest technology that has hit the industry. Following the tour, the YAC members worked with some of the industry's finest in the realms of network security and data center systems. Vital tips of the trade and lessons learned were provided, giving members information they could share with their networks. The second event the Young AFCEAN committee brought to the area was the first "Adventure Series" where members met at the Ramstein Outdoor Rec climbing wall to have a little fun. Communicators from around the base were brought out of their comfort zones to enjoy the challenges and teamwork that comes with rock climbing. The unique opportunity provided members to meet new people and build friendships.
