Marine Corps CIO Leads Birthday Celebration

Brig. Gen. Dennis Crall, USMC, director, command, control, communications, computers (C4)/chief information officer (CIO), spoke at the chapter's November luncheon. Gen. Crall led the chapter in celebrating the Marine Corps' 241st birthday, including the ceremony passing cake from the oldest Marine to the youngest Marine. Marines were on hand to collect toys from attendees for Toys for Tots. The chapter recognized Young AFCEANs Katie Aceto and Melissa Shaw from Deltek. They have both been supporting the luncheon committee in securing volunteers and preparing presentations to help the lunch run smoothly. In addition, Aceto has supported Herndon High School, Herndon, Viginia, in the Adopt-a-School program. Shaw has been active on the Mentor-Protege Committee and volunteers for multiple events. SuperNOVAs were Jerry Hanson and Linda Dinga. Hanson joined the chapter's AF IT Day committee and really burned up the wires for sponsors. Dinga is the director of corporate development for Arena Technologies and leads event execution for the chapter's small business program.
