CZECH CHAPTER CHAPTER - Mar 28, 2017 |
Workshop Held on EU's New Data Protection Regulation |
On March 28 around 300 experts discussed implications of the new EU regulation focused on data protection, the General Data Protection Regulation. The regulation brings new requirements on how to protect personal and sensitive data and defines what personal data is. It will soon be implemented into the national legislation system, what creates a challenge not only for national regulators but also for many organizations. Experts from the Czech Office for Data Protection introduced the regulation, explained its implications and responded to all questions asked during the seminar. The event was organized by the Czech Cyber Security Working Group in cooperation with the National Police Academy, European Cyber Security Excellence Center (EUCYBSEC) and other Czech national professional associations. |
