ORLANDO-CENTRAL FLORIDA CHAPTER CHAPTER - Jan 11, 2007 |
Defense Forum 2007 united several forces in co-sponsorship of the 6th annual Central Florida Combined Professional Associations' Group (CPAG) breakfast forum in January. Presidents of the 12 member associations participated with Jerry Stahl, chapter president; serving as the panel moderator was Fred Eisele, AFCEA International associate director and CPAG council chair. Speakers included Capt. Steve Burris, USN, commanding officer, U.S. Naval Training Systems Division; Col. Walt Augustin, USMC, program manager, training systems, U.S. Marine Corps Test and Evaluation Command; Peter Marion, U.S. Army Simulation, Training and Instrumentation Program Executive Office; and Col. Lou "Spanky" Olinto, USAF, commander, U.S. Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation. Each speaker provided an overview of respective organizational changes and challenges, revealing several common issues to address including training programs, experimental development, budget constraints, and improvement of the development, procurement and testing processes. |
