TAMPA-ST. PETERSBURG CHAPTER CHAPTER - Jun 21, 2017 |
Leading for Revenue Growth |
The chapter switched things up during its June luncheon by bringing in Scott Edinger of Edinger Consulting Group to discuss leadership for revenue growth. Some of the world's leading organizations hire Edinger to formulate and implement growth strategies, lead change and create cultures where innovation thrives. His latest book, The Hidden Leader: Discover and Develop Greatness Within Your Company, is a best seller, and was selected as one of the best business books of 2015. He is also co-author of The Inspiring Leader and the Harvard Business Review article Making Yourself Indispensable, called a "classic in the making." Edinger is a regular contributor to Forbes and the Harvard Business Review as well as an affiliate faculty member for the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School. During the luncheon, Edinger touched on some common misunderstandings between salespeople and executive-level leaders when it comes to growing revenue and executing strategy. He also discussed why most revenue shortfalls are leadership issues, not sales issues, and predictable failure points of growth plan execution. In closing, he spoke about having a new vision for revenue-focused leadership, which starts with strategy. |
