Volunteers Support TechNet Augusta Conference

In August, the chapter along with Walker and Associates provided volunteer support to Georgia Regional Vice President Pat Harrington and the Ft. Gordon Chapter at AFCEA's TechNet Augusta conference. Volunteers served as classroom proctors and at registration. The theme of this year's event was, "Cyberspace and Electronic Warfare Operation in Multi-Domain Battle." This conflict demands the integration of capabilities to ensure friendly force freedom of maneuver while enabling the commander to present the enemy with multiple dilemmas through a mixture of kinetic and non-kinetic fires. Speakers delved deep into the various aspects of this emerging topic. The symposium featured multiple sessions about cyber and electronic warfare, workforce training and doctrine. Experts discussed procurement challenges the military, government and industry face during a time of uncertain budgets during runaway technology advances. Attendees took advantage of continuing education (CEU) sessions and special programs for small businesses.
