An Update on SMC Reorganization

Col. Jim Reynolds, USAF, senior materiel leader of the Advanced Systems Division, Space Superiority Systems Directorate, Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), Los Angeles, presented an update in August on the reorganization of SMC acquisition offices. The colonel leads a team of government and industry acquisition, engineering, operations, intelligence and security specialists executing a multibillion-dollar budget. The division plans, develops, tests, deploys and sustains several presidential-priority classified capabilities that provide the nation with critical warfighting advantages and enable space superiority. Chapter leaders Bill Page, president; Scott Beidleman, vice president, programs; Nick Farinacci, vice president, operations; and Mike Plantenga, secretary, attended the colonel's presentation.
