Chapter Celebrates 50 Years of Successful Events

In December 2018, the chapter celebrated its golden anniversary: 50 years of successful events that have always generated collaboration, exchange of interesting and valuable ideas and great satisfaction among the members. Created in November 1968, the chapter was the fourth in Europe. Its main scope then was to bring together government, military, academia and the defense industry. Since 1968, the association continues to grow and mature, encouraging broader participation in and awareness of military and technology realities and developments in the fields of structures and capabilities. It also strives to discover powerful ideas and bring valuable solutions to the defense market. The celebration event was held in a special, warm and festive environment. Alain Klein, the chapter president, pointed out important moments from the chapter's history. Vice President EMEA and General Manager AFCEA Europe, Maj. Gen. Erich Staudacher, GEAF (Ret.), congratulated the chapter and proudly handed over the Certificate of Recognition kindly issued and sent by AFCEA International President and Chief Executive Officer Lt. Gen. Robert M. Shea, USMC (Ret.), for this golden anniversary.
