Chapter Hosts Cloud Luncheon and Supports Boys and Girls Clubs of America

The chapter held their Cloud Luncheon in March. The event kicked off with a fireside chat with William E. Marion II, USAF, deputy chief, information dominance and deputy chief information officer at the Air Staff in Washington, D.C. The fireside chat, moderated by Dave Mihelcic, former chief of technology officer for Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) chief technology officer/president of DMMI LLC, was then followed by a panel comprised of John Dollen, U.S. Cyber Command, J-9; John Hale, chief of cloud services, DISA; and Ashley Mahan, acting director, General Services Administration, Secure Cloud Portfolio, FedRAMP. Panelists addressed challenges and successes with cloud adoption, migration and initiatives. In addition, the chapter presented a check to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington, D.C., in the amount of $3,000. The donation will be used to purchase 3D printers and supplies.
