In May, the chapter hosted a luncheon with speaker Maj. Gen. Scott Zobrist, USAF, commander, Ninth Air Force. Gen. Zobrist highlighted the challenges and achievements in standing up the first Joint Task Force-capable headquarters for the Air Force. Particular to the communications challenges, Gen. Zobrist discussed the procurement and fielding of a flexible, deployable communications package that would allow interoperability across geographic combatant commands with their respective coalition partners. The chapter also awarded a one-year AFCEA membership to one junior enlisted member. |
