MONTGOMERY CHAPTER CHAPTER - Dec 05, 2019

YAACs Discover How To Train the Future Digital Warrior

In December, the chapter's Young AFCEANs hosted a Business over Breakfast seminar featuring guest speaker Master Sgt. James "Guideaux" Crocker, USAF, Business Enterprise Systems Programming Innovation (BESPIN), at the Hilton Garden Inn in Montgomery, Alabama. Crocker opened by discussing how the Air Force is starting to reevaluate the way it treats and trains its cyber warriors. There is an effort right now to better align the way the Air Force develops its coders with industry best practices. Crocker also enlightened the attendees on the Drudonna Project, which is mobile software and platform development. The goal of the Drudonna is to find the talent already in the Air Force and provide collaboration and deliberate development across organizations. Finally, he closed by talking about the path forward for the Joint Information Environment and a charge for all of us to join the digital revolution. Following the presentation, Crocker conducted a brief question-and-answer session, and audience members networked.
