The chapter was fortunate to have the commander and deputy commander of the 251st Cyberspace Engineering Installation Group, Ohio Air National Guard, Springfield, Ohio, as a duo of speakers for the February Chapter luncheon. Col. Wade Rupper, ANG (Ret.), is responsible for leading a 925-member Air Combat Command communications cyberspace stretched across the United States. They support the National Command Authority. The group is ready to meet wartime contingencies with a 72-hour window. Col. Rupper brings a distinguished career of 30 years, including Command deployments in Kuwait, hurricane support, Operations Noble Eagle, Enduring Freedom, Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Lt. Col. Steven Dudash, ANG, provides daily oversight to eight squadrons of 900 personnel in support of the Air Force Expeditionary Cyberspace Community. Col. Dudash began with the Air National Guard over 30 years ago and brings a distinguished career of assignments, including Noble Anvil, Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom, hurricanes, and OCONUS operations. Dudash will succeed Rupper as the next commander. Both have received Meritorious Service medals and Air Force commendations.
