The chapter is excited to announce this year's scholarship opportunities, supporting the leaders of tomorrow by providing scholarships to assist local students in reaching their goals. The chapter offers a variety of scholarships for students and military and has awarded scholarships spanning over twenty years for the local Wright-Patterson Air Force Base community.
This year, we're highlighting a scholarship of an Ohio graduate, Gen. Janet C. Wolfenbarger, USAF, and the Janet C. Wolfenbarger Scholarship. Gen. Wolfenbarger was the first woman to achieve the rank of four-star general in the Air Force, so preference will be given to female students who have an association with Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (parent or guardian of a civilian employee, military, or contractor) or a person who is a current or former student at Bavercreek High School.
Candidates must be U.S. citizens and must be seeking a STEM-related degree from an accredited secondary institution. They must exhibit strong leadership skills, demonstrate community service/involvement and have maintained an overall GPA of at least 3.3 in high school or college.
If you or someone you know qualifies, apply online today at https://daytonwrightafcea.wildapricot.org/Scholarships/ For more information, contact the chapter at education.dwafcea@gmail.com. Applications must be received by May 15, 2022, to be considered for a 2022 award.
