Women of Alamo AFCEA Discuss Bridging the Gap

The chapter's new women's group held its first event to discuss how to "bridge the gap" for girls and women in STEM. Vice President of Diversity Karen Lopez-Rolirad led the event's launch. "This initiative has been brewing for quite some time, and I am overwhelmed by the amount of women who need this and want to help push this effort to the next level." The event brought in over 30 women from the community to network and listen to guest speaker, Victoria Washington, explain her journey as a successful female in the technology space. The group is working on the details of the next meeting to be held on September 7th.
