Port San Antonio's Vision for The Future

The chapter welcomed Jim Perschbach, president and CEO of Port San Antonio, to this month's luncheon. Perschbach led the members and attendees in a discussion on the new innovation and technology hub in the downtown Southside of San Antonio. "No one knew the connectivity we could put into San Antonio," explained Perschbach. The campus provides an opportunity for the community to have access to standardized training tools and technology, research facilities, machine learning and artificial intelligence all in one area. The first ever interservice gaming competition that was held in May at the ForceCon '22 event crowned the Air Force as this year's video game tournament winners. The port has 16,000 employed and growing, allowing all people within the community to intersect. "It's a message to the community that you are worthy."
