Women of Alamo AFCEA Kicks Off New Committees

The Women of Alamo AFCEA had their second event at Paesano's in Lincoln Heights. The group had a full house of men and women eager to work together to BridgeTheGap that women have long seen and felt in STEM career fields. The group established three committees: Military Mentorship, Education and Business. Each committee will be led by an expert of that particular field. The group will meet the first Wednesday of every month. Chapter Vice President of Diversity Karen Lopez-Rolirad explained that this is just the beginning. The Women of Alamo AFCEA are working to capture all of the diversity that is present within the chapter. "I'm extremely excited about this, and if you're looking to make a difference, you need to come to this."
